What You Need to Know About Our Train-Safe Products
Here you’ll find answers to the questions collectors, hobbyists and technology enthusiasts ask us most often – and perhaps exactly the information you were still missing about our model railway display cases.
Our model railway display cases are available in various lengths and are designed for the common model railway gauges – from Z to G. The exact internal dimensions can be found in the respective product description, so you can be sure that your treasured models will fit perfectly.
Each of these tubes has four milled recesses on the underside: at each end for connection to the track adapter, and in the center for use with our wall brackets or table stands. Power from the digital control unit can also optionally be fed in at these points. Depending on the length of the tube, there is either a “short” or a “long” support spacing.
With the short support spacing, only the one-piece wall bracket or the table stand can be used.
With the long support spacing, only the split wall bracket can be used.
When choosing between them, the length of your trains and the available wall space should determine which option is right for you.
The cross-section of our tubes is designed so that, under normal handling, the trains cannot derail. This applies to the Basic, Vision and Roll variants.
Yes, this is easily possible. Each tube can be purchased in the appropriate size for the desired train. If you want to mount the tubes on the wall, our wall brackets are designed so that you can expand them flexibly across all gauges and match them precisely to your tubes and trains.
Yes. With Basic, Vision and Roll, this is straightforward.
For Train-Safe Basic, we offer a track transition piece. It is simply positioned directly in front of your own track, allowing the train to glide smoothly out of the tube and onto the layout.
For Train-Safe Vision and Roll, we offer a track adapter for almost all common track systems. Simply connect it to your own track and the train can travel directly from the tube onto the layout.
No rerailing, no uncoupling and no taking apart permanently coupled train sets.
This means Train-Safe is not only a secure home for your models, but also an active part of your layout. You can bring scenes to life, watch trains in action and present your collection in a unique way – protected from dust and damage.
Care is straightforward. For gentle cleaning of the high-quality Plexiglas®, we recommend our antistatic cotton cloth. It picks up dust gently and helps reduce static charge without unnecessarily stressing the sensitive surface. For more thorough cleaning, a special acrylic-glass cleaner is also suitable. As an additional service for our customers, we offer both the antistatic cotton cloth and the appropriate cleaner directly in our shop, so you always have the right care products for your Train-Safe tubes close at hand.
Many of our display cases are available from stock immediately or have already been manufactured for you, so they can be dispatched to you quickly.
Using our power-supply accessories, you can connect the Vision tubes directly to your digital control station. The brand of the control station does not matter. You can then access all functions of your trains via the digital station while they are inside Train-Safe Vision – including train lighting, sound and more. This is a truly unique feature.
