Do all model trains fit in the Basic display case?

Our Basic display case with track grooves is available for all standard gauges from Z to G, including the narrow-gauge H0m and H0e. Thanks to the integrated track grooves, every locomotive and car is securely held in place without slipping—whether they’re delicate Z-scale trains or impressive G-scale models.

Do I need to uncouple my trains before placing them in the display case?

No need—that’s exactly the advantage of the track grooves. You can slide your models directly from the layout into the display case without uncoupling or tedious rearranging. The precise grooves hold them securely, so you can showcase your collection quickly and easily at any time without having to handle delicate parts.

Can I expand my model train display case later?

Absolutely—our modular system grows flexibly with your collection. You can add more elements or combine new display options at any time—without any complicated modifications. You’ll also find additional mounts and accessories in our product range.

Can I connect the model train display cases to my existing model train layout?

Yes, many of our model train display cases are track-accessible or compatible with standard track systems. This requires a suitable track adapter or transition piece. What’s the best way to protect the Plexiglas® on my Basic display case from scratches?

To clean the high-quality Plexiglas®, you can use our special cleaning and care products, which are gentle and won’t scratch the surface. This keeps your collection clean, safe, and in top condition for years to come.

Is the Basic display case also suitable for longer train sets?

Of course—the Basic display case is available in various lengths, so even complete train sets—from small switching locomotives to long ICE trains—can fit inside. Thanks to the track grooves, every set remains stable.

Is the Basic display case also suitable for transport?

For short distances or careful handling, yes. However, if you want to showcase your models on the go on a regular basis, we recommend our “Travel” boxes. These are specially designed for safe transport and are the perfect complement to the Basic display case.
